OUR REVOLUTIONARY DUTY: TO ESCALATE THE STRUGGLE FOR THE DEFEAT OF ZIONIST AND IMPERIALIST BARBARISM! - Statement of SEP (Turkey)

The alliance of genocidaires and pedophiles, the USA and Israel, seeks to complete the process of “redesigning” the Middle East by toppling the last opposing regime through comprehensive attacks launched with the goal of regime change in Iran. In these attacks, hundreds of civilians—including young girls—as well as high-ranking officials of the Mullah regime, have already been massacred. The cesspool of media monopolies, acting as the war apparatus of imperialism, is engaging in global manipulation using the Mullah regime in Iran as a pretext. Will these barbarians, who do not hesitate to kill small children, these criminals who enslaved hundreds of women on Epstein Island, bring freedom to the laborers, women, and oppressed peoples of Iran?

As the Socialist Laborers’ Party (SEP), our stance against this latest attack by imperialism and Zionism on Iran is clear: for a humane future in the Middle East and the entire world, the defeat of the terror states of the USA and Israel is a prerequisite. We call upon the world’s toilers, youth, and the oppressed to the front lines of the anti-imperialist struggle against this imperialist banditry!

The USA and the Zionist Israeli regime, which feeds off this chief bandit, ruthlessly continue their policy of annihilation against all forces resisting them in the Middle East. The USA-Israel-NATO alliance has left the peoples of Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria facing massive massacres and has carried out the imperialist regime-change move planned for years in Syria. To the destruction ongoing in Yemen, Lebanon, and Gaza, the war on Iran has now been added. The aggression of this bloody alliance will not stop; new occupations will turn the region into a ring of fire. The peoples of the world and class-conscious laborers must put a stop to this machine of permanent war and massacre!

The attacks on Iran are based on the lie of a so-called “nuclear weapons threat.” Yet the truth is this: by what moral or legal justification can a power that possesses hundreds of nuclear warheads itself, and subjects them to no inspection, bomb another country? The real intent behind this aggression is to seize Iran’s oil and natural gas resources, break the anti-Zionist resistance, and open the region to imperialist plunder! They want Iran to suffer the fate of Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, and Iraq.

The nature of the capitalist Mullah regime in Iran should not cause confusion. The only result of imperialist intervention is blood, ruin, and the slaughter of peoples. If the USA and Israel emerge victorious from this war, the next target will be Cuba, and they will feel empowered to inflict even more misery on oppressed peoples. Authoritarian leaders, emboldened by Trump’s rise to power, will use this aggression as an opportunity to impose more repressive measures against laborers and the opposition in their own countries.

The AKP government in Turkey is also among those profiting from this process. Do not be fooled by the lies of “freedom and democracy” they spout; they have no problem with Middle Eastern dictators who carry out the orders of the USA and Israel. As a NATO member, Turkey hitches itself to the policies of the USA and Israel under the guise of “neutrality” through the Kürecik and İncirlik bases. Since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza, it has not only turned a blind eye but supported Zionist terror through increasing trade volume with Israel. This political Islamist hypocrisy is once again clearly visible. Furthermore, negotiations have begun with European imperialism regarding the expected wave of migrants from Iran.

Imperialism brings freedom to no country! The balance sheet of the operations in Afghanistan in 2001, Iraq in 2003, and Libya and Syria in 2011 has been ethnic and religious strife, a hell for women, and ruins for the people. Change in Iran can only happen through the people’s own dynamics; imperialist wars of plunder have never brought democracy or freedom.

Today, world capitalism is in a deep and structural crisis. The shaking of US hegemony makes imperialist blocs more aggressive. Capitalists seek a way out of the crisis through the arms race, war economies, and regional destruction. Trump, Netanyahu, and similar far-right leaders are symbols of this decayed order. Capitalist barbarism will not hesitate to throw millions of people into the fire to overcome its own crisis.

For exactly this reason, our duty is clear: to escalate the struggle for the defeat of imperialist barbarism. However, this struggle cannot remain solely on the defensive line. The only real alternative that will save the Middle East from imperialist interventions, Zionist aggression, and domestic reactionary regimes is the internationalist unity of the working class and the socialist revolution—that is, the perspective of a Socialist Middle East.

Either imperialist wars will continue, or the world working class and youth will play their historical role and put an end to barbarism. As imperialist barbarism rises, shifts toward the anti-systemic left are also occurring in its centers. We must achieve the difficult and raise the anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist organized class struggle in Turkey and the world for our future.

• The Kürecik Radar Base must be closed immediately; this facility, which functions as a protective shield for Israel, must be dismantled.
• The Konya 3rd Main Jet Base must be closed to the use of the USA and NATO.
• All military cooperation and base agreements made with the USA and NATO must be rescinded.
• Imperialist military alliances, including NATO membership, must be ended.
